A Little of this and a Little of that..........

Hello - I wanted to share a little bit about myself. I am a craft lover with a wonderful husband (Kevin) of 35 years. It is our love of hand made items that have driven us to have a shoppe in lil ole Waynesburg. With the ecomomy being what it is we found it hard to heat our old Apple House....so we have taken our store online to reach the whole world of crafters.

My hubby builds a variety of hard wood furniture. Some pieces are one of a kinds.... then he finishes them to look old and some pieces he prims in his own way.

I love sewing and my new fascination is with felt. I am also actively re-purposing old wool clothing to make new items and absolutely love watching them change life. It is so rewarding!

I will update as is necessary and let you know exciting news about my amazing children and grandchildren. I have 4 children and 10 grandchildren...yes, I am blessed and I know it!

it's cold  and cozy here tonight.... the moon is hazy and the air is perfectly thin and crisp. Sometimes, although winter can  pose problems, the opposites of the seasons are cleansing to the earth and we should take this time to cleanse and prepare ourselves for the business summer brings. Yes it will be lovely to hear birds in the early morning but the sparkling of new fallen snow is beautiful too. I feel blessed to experience all these things. Our earth is amazing - our God is awesome and Life is Good!!!!!!!!!!!!

hello everyone!!!!

its cold and snowy here in Ohio but january is almost over and we will be one month closer to spring and summer. its always uplifting to receive the seed catalogs in the mail.

we are thinking about the garden = the pool = vacation and of course traveling the worlds longest yard sale - the 127 sale. I am totally excited about doing this sale. I am still doing my research to know where to start to  find the treasures I am looking for....

Anyone else doing the 127?

hello friends.....it's cold and clear here in Waynesburg.  This is the final week for our shoppe to be open so my feelings are bittersweet. I will be relieved to not burden my family financially any more but I so loved my shoppe. I became friends with my 35+ vendors and enjoyed interacting with our sweet customers. We will be going on line with our business....guess that is a sign of the times.

Being in the house more sure makes things happen - doesn't it????? We are making lots of changes (on a budget of course). I am very happy with our results. Our next venture? we are going to redo the kitchen to make it look more primitive. I love primitive decorating but I just can't sell my hubby on it......he likes more early American. We try to always meet half way but I want to win with the kitchen project...I am excited - can't wait! I will post pictures when we are done.....

Everyone try to keep warm and look forward to Valentines Day....ahhhhhh true love!!! teehee

Bye bye!

Hi everyone! I am listening to the wind blowing and wondering if perhaps the ground is being covered by snow. Kevin and I had a lovely anniversary dinner with our son Andrew and his girlfriend Ashley. I did not get to spend any time creating today and I can tell. Restless...... I have to work at the shoppe tomorrow - so that may not happen again........there is always hope though. I love keeping my hands busy and I love keeping my mind quiet.

Until next time - realize your blessings and be grateful!!!!!!!!!

hello from waynesburg ohio...the sun is actually shining and the temperature is above normal...wow.....if it is anything but snow I am happy. It's wonderful watching it from inside your home but when you have to travel in it...well it's not so great.
Tonight is the dinner to support boy scouts and then visiting with our buddies....no work tonight. No building - no sewing and just so good old fun!!!!          Talk to you all soon!
